Laura Ingalls Wilder
The Laura Ingalls Wilder series is about a little girl who starts out as Laura Ingalls and gradually grow up to be a school teacher and then a farmer’s wife and a mother of one child. I recommend this series for girls who are adventureous, because Laura was an adventureous girl. My favorite book in the series is probably “The First Four Years”.

Caddie Woodlawn
Caddie Woodlawn is a tomboy, and she and her two brothers are always getting into trouble. She has one other brother, who is a baby. She also has three sisters. I recommend this book for girls who are tomboys and for girls who sometimes get into trouble. My favorite part of the book is probably when Uncle Edmund loosens the roes on the raft that hold the raft together, and Caddie falls off.
